Etrade is tecnically insolvent by looking at financials. Due to the amount of short term debt due this year, and the low levels of liquidity at this firm I don't know how they stay in business short of assets sales if there is anyone even interested in buying them. This is what I call a value trap. The thing to watch out for are for the remaining customers to flee with their money to the competitors. Buy this at your own risk.

You should probably do your research before spouting off, this is what I call a dd trap. Customers are not running for the door, unless you mean to deposit their cash. Cash levels have been stable since December, and now they are back to $35B (they were at $39B before the Nov. bk scare), which is far, far ahead of their projections. Etrade moreover is cash rich with a cap ratio better than Wells Fargo. Not sure what "financials" you're referring to. How much short term debt is due this year, by the way?

Forgive me for leaving you confused Moneyrocket, less you think I believe you to be wise, sorry...but no. Your have impeached your own well, evidenced by your bucket of manure - fertilizer for for the daft.Even a savvy 6 child of six could understand (and many do) the manifest near term earnings ascent for ETFC. Your really don't understand business, do you Moneyrocket? No, No, I know you don't, but it's OK. I know you want to learn more and empower yourself to some day, think independently - Good for You my boy!But today, your just a tiny tadpole burping talking points from other little tadpoles.

Firm will be profitable by Q4. Stock is being unfairly hurt by other financial bad news like Lehman. Once merger rumors pop up the stock will move up big!
