I'm not one to venture into drug companies on promise. I still think the best time to invest is after it has an approval and cash coming in (when pushed, I'd say wait for the 3rd drug approval). Still, I can't help but be impressed with Exelixis. They have a nice deep pipeline and are attracting big-pharma interest as recently shown by a BMS partnership. Worth a flyer with speculative allocation $$ in my opinion. It just feels like a Vertex in the making (I just used the word 'feels' - smart investors should shudder at the combination of emotion and biotech investing).

Stick 1K into this and ignore it for 10 years.
