It will take longer than one year for the mess that is Ford to comeback. While it is important to stop the bleeding before you can heal a woulnd, Ford needs to find at least the promise couple of a signature or marquee vehicle or two before returning. Something that they haven't done in a long time and no actions of late have openly addressed the creative side (although how public would it be).

During the time of this comeback, however the stock should see some rise. The strength of this company will grow, however I agree with you in a way. I don't think Ford will ever be back to where they were unless they find a way to totally dominate the other foreign companies. There is just too much competition out there now in the vehicle industry for them to ever regain everything.
