Though Alan Mulally has been given the charge of turning Ford around, he has a LONG way to go. I have seen posts that claim that because Ford has turned around in the past, it will bounce back again. Or, that the operating losses last quarter must have been the automaking giant hitting rock bottom. Unfortunately...untrue.Ford is projecting another billion dollar loss in the 4th quarter, is not retaining it's senior VP and Exec talent, is the "LEAST globally integrated large automaker in the world..." (according to Fortune), market share has dropped for 11 straight years, and the list goes on.I think Ford is utterly lost and confused and is hoping that brining in an outside CEO like Mulally (history shows that more often than not resorting to outside leaderships ends in failure when in crisis) will sovle their problems...and oh, by the way, he doesn't know a thing about the automative world, though he has proven himself at Boeing which may hold some hope for Ford in the long run.I feel confident that Ford will continue to dissapoint for the forseable future...
