I haven't looked at FNSR closely enough to actually purchase shares quite yet, but I tend to think they'll do well as seen from a one to five year perspective. I do own Avanex though. These comapnies are among the Red Guard of the Tech Bubble. Ava...

The race is on for the 'last mile', cable or fiber. Finisar is well positioned to capitalize on the success of both competing technologies. As broadband applications grow for the home the buildout will accelerate and FNSR will be a winner.

FNSR is in a unique position WRT roll out of
fibre optic (FO) interconnects and
networking. They have good product, great
customers and a technology that has growing
demand.

However, they are very low in the "food
chain". Their customers are leading...

Fiber sector and all supporting techs (test equip. etc) is in a growth cycle that should run at least a couple of years.
Video over the internet needs huge bandwidth and buildout should continue as competition between cable and telecom continues.
