FPL will benefit from its small carbon footprint and the growing demand for power generation. The seemingly inevitable carbon cap trading system will also benefit FPL.

Great company with innovation. They are investing in alternative energy and this is a utility that stands out, in my opinion.

In spite of a dismal ROE of 11.4%, high levels of debt, and dividend less than the industry, FPL is strategically in the sweet spot for the future: Wind, nuclear and solar, and transmission thereof. Carbon Caps coming down the pike will also help.
