With landline telephone service becoming a thing of the past, Verizon's loss is Frontier's loss.

What about cell phone cancer? I look for cell phone use to level off or decline. Most cell phone calls originate 10 feet away from a land line phone. Cell phone caused brain cancer will encourage more land line usage.

Landline service is not disappearing. Is there less of it, yes. Cell and wireless is great; but if you have significant traffic, you'll be paying extra freight for what you get. There is also a limit to the speeds that can be reached on wireless service. Cable, while preferred to DSL, is not always available. In large cities or suburbs this is not an issue. Go to the rural areas and it becomes a major issue. A lot of the ISP's that are in the more rural areas do not have the customer base and in turn revenue to invest large sums of money in upgrading their infrastructure. This company has a good future in areas where other carriers like Comcast simply will not go.
