This stock has tanked because investors are worried that seniors won't be able to sell their houses when they need to move into retirement and assisted living facilities. Despite this, our population is aging and eventually people will face the music. The housing crisis won't last forever; as home prices drop (even with a credit crunch) more people will be able to afford them. Those who have a lot of equity in their home (like the elderly) will be better positioned to take the hit on a lower price. Elderly care facilities are only going to get more profitable as more people need them.

I think there is also an issue of their $70 million in investments of Auction Rate Securities that *might* need to be written off.

Although this issue has probably been factored into the price by now.
