The company is being valued as if they are a stand alone credit card company. They target customers with hard to see fees and are currently being investigated for deceptive practices.
They are also planning to buy a bank which would make them a bank and no longer a pure debit card play. Not to mention they are not a shareholder friendly company expanding stock by about 3x.
They won't be going anywhere since they have Walmart has a major stakeholder. But due to their type of business and the fact they are concentrated on walmarts type of customers means things wont be too good going forward. Walmart customers are already being squeezed by the inflation costs and a debit card that charges an arm and a leg is something that really isn't necessary.
