GE's price has been stalled for almost 5 years now -- 5 years where it consistently made or beat its numbers. When well-run megas are in again, GE will be in a great position to capitalize.

GE can do no wrong. This company covers itself in too many sectors of trade to not do well, from the common household, to military contracts. How can this stable company not succeed. The dividend isn't bad either.

This is a great company that over the long term will do well. It is huge, and whatever it decides to spin out will be positive for the share price. Immelt's management is solid IMHO, and has a strong mgmt team. Good mgmt counts for a lot longer term.

Too many things going right with this company (see the numerous, more detailed pitches) to keep wallowing at this price. Most of the market downturn is mortgage/credit related which has little bearing on GE as far as I can see.
