Gilead is one of the pure small molecule pharma plays and that is the future. I also like the fact that they are going after the scourges of infectious diseases: HIV, HepB, HepC, and mass viral and fungal. It's those little guys they treat, that are so hard to irradicate, that make for some horrific conditions/painful deaths and they are attacking those head on! The small molecule approach is less invasive to the body's chemistries and allow for the immune system to gain a foothold before the body spirals. I also like their fundamentals from a growth aspect and them being a relative youngster in the pharma market with, so far, market beating returns.
