We are entering a severe recession and credit tight environment. Over the next year or so this will become a bargain. Real estate is seeing numbers not seen since the great depression. When the stock market corrects, as the recession becomes feared. Pick this one up next year as part of your crash profit bargain portfolio.

Why should this one crash? There are more overvalued speculative companies than Corning. Reasonably priced and they have their prices locked in contracts upto 2009. Downside is limited as is upside. Buy and hold longterm they even pay a dividend now.

Kudos you were dead right. But now would be the time to think of closing your position me thinks. 4.7 P/E, falling oil prices, discretionary slowly starting to recover, which will start impacting GLW on the upside in the next quarter or so. I just went long on GLW today.
