Cyclical rebound in LCD glass with TV replacement cycle along side expanding smartphone market for Gorilla Glass.
Although the "Day Made of Glass" video my be premature, there is nothing that say that the digital signage market can not be at least as large as TV in terms of square footage of screens. Of course it will take a while to develop, but a lerge market ins signage is an inevitability. As for TV, the industry never got the bounce it should have from the NTSC to HDTV transition due to the recession. Further, household consolidation has driven down TV set sales. With a full blown recovery, kids moving out of their parents home, you could see a large spring back in sales with consumers making up for years of postponed sales and a housing market that drives even more sales. None of this will happen with a continued tepid economy but if things get good they could get very good quickly.
