Over the past 20-30 years, videogames have become huge. Everyday more and more people play videogames. Gamestop and EB Games stores are the only vdeogame retailer stores around where I live. Videogame sales are through the roof and now with the newest console, the Wii, even more people are gamers. Videogames are appealing to larger crowds and sales will keep increasing because videogames are fun and addictive (trust me! I know from experience. I can't put my Wii down!!!!) ; )

US retail is the most competitive business in the world.KMart has the PS3 available for $319http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=23347EDIT: The top coupon is valid from 11/11 - 11/17 while the bottom coupon is the same as the top one (20% off of anything in the store) and is available from 11/18 - 11/21.Now go unload your unsellable PS2 and crappy games at your local Gamestop. Call it payback for the insiders , who have unloaded $1.4 billion in share in 12 months on shareholders. http://www.secform4.com/insider-trading/1326380.htm

I'd say they make the most money from the buyback and reselling of the games. They ussually make over 75% for the newer games (if they trade for cash) and that's being conservative. If you ask me, that is where they make the cash, doing that over and over again with the same game. They won't even have to pay the publisher or other companies for anything.Still, they do also make enough money from the original sell--Shawn

They will be able to sell those "unsellable" PS2 systems and crappy games. It's what they do :)
