Unlike MSFT, Google started branching out from their origins--search. Their latest foray into internet and TV service, I believe will be the start of something big. Consumers are fed up with more frequent than annual increases from Comcast with no perceptible improvement in service quality. What Google is testing in KC is nothing short of revolutionary--offering better service for less, challenging the stranglehold Comcast, etc. has held on their customers. With the huge amount of unused fiber optic cable available, Google can cost effectively expand this service to other mkts and has already availed themselves of darkmfiber in the NYC area.
