China will not slow down for too long. If the Chinese government says they will have 8% growth then they will have at least 8% growth. The big cities in China may be slowing down but the smaller cities, thousands and thousands of them, are just getting warm up.

I live in China in one of those so called smaller towns. A city under 1 million is referred to as a village. There are more high rise construction cranes in my village than in my home state of North Carolina. Another observation is that rebar is not as thick as in the US and cement is a lower quality. I found out the cement problem the hard way. Construction of most everything is of a lower quality than in the US. Every 20 years just tear it down and start over again.
