Hemispherx BioPharma, Inc's flying, (in relative terms) stock price could be simply a short, speculator, computer, pumper, induced round robin as has occured with a few other biopharms lately, or it could be real expectation to a possible meeting, yet again, with the FDA in December. (Dec 20th with safety experts).

Ampligen for chronic fatigue syndrome was rejected twice in 2009 for effectivity and manufacturability. Generally manufacturability issues can be solved, but it doesn't take three years to do so.

Chronic Fatigue is indeed an unmet need and rumors of orphan drug status, ( a quicker approval path), and partners always surface during a biopharm runup of this naure.

The runup from $0.20 to $1.00 since last January has been impressive for those with a little "faith" or a speculative nature. I'm not surprised it broke $1.00 Monday after I called it on Friday, but it's oscillating now even after the FDA confirmed a tentative review. I do see enough cash left on the books from a large 2009 issue that should carry them without diluting, so the dip in share price as some move on may not be too large.

Biopharm speculating toy, or a contender, yet again with the FDA, the run is likely over for awhile. I doubt it will last near $1.00 until it tosses another hail Mary and I don't think the FDA will call in the substitute refs. I won't argue with the "faithful" minions this type of stock activity invariably spawns. Good luck to them, "conviction bias" and "pot of gold" syndrome are also unmet medical needs.
