The company has a great management team and they are finally focused on their core business. I would not be surprised if Liberty stepped in late this year or early next and took over HSN and brought it into the QVC family.
What is HSNI's core business? Is it TV sales? Shop by APP? Web Store? Shop in an Airplane? Great prodcuts at lowest prices? celerbity endorcements? This past year HSNI has been focused like a refridgerator's lighbulb. Notice the press releases have been red herrings. None of the press releases have been directly related to any of the following:
Product Quality and overall Item Return rate
Success of HSN Credit Card
ROI on new "channels" such as IPhone APP and In Flight shopping.
Increase of new customers (important)
Increase of overall revenue (important)
I am interested in hearing tomorrows's results (March 3, 2010) I do not believe Ms. Grossman can sufficiently make us believe that increased profits are due to "tighter costs and improved product margins" and "Reduced operating costs" at some point revenue must increase.
As far as the value of the stock rising in value.... I do not have a clue why.
