Last month a sell-side analyst from Cowen estimated 2016 revenues of 258M from Duexis and 106M from Lodotra. That's quite a bold prediction considering Duexis revenues were 0.9M last quarter and Lodotra hasn't even been approved yet. Both Duexis and Lodotra seem to me to be superfluous anti-inflammatory drugs facing heavy competition from established generics. I'm guessing that the Cowen analyst knows that he'll never be held accountable for his revenue predictions if they fail to materialize. After all, sell-side analysis is really for the benefit of the company being "analyzed", not for anyone foolish enough to make investment decisions based on the analysis.
Duexis will likely be approved on July 26, but given the near double on the run up this month ahead of the PDUFA, I think the sell-on-the news reaction will be swift and decisive.
