Huge portfolio and since the Gerstner era has shown the way to go. Huge focus on added value solution which have premium price. Also, the ability to bundle the portfolio, specially with the mainframe business can really drive revenue.

This giant delivers more and more software products to use Linux and Java, which I use on a daily basis. IBM's Websphere product may not excel innovation-wise, but provides pretty good solutions as application servers.

Services are a mess. The move offshore will give them a temporary bump on the bottom line. IBM's problems are systemic and terminal in the long run
