PR today says they may get into Panama Cannal expansion project. Housing unit to get listed. They already have a rapidly growing construction portfolio. Their richest holder Carlos Slim owns a bank!

They have com a long way from the Mexican Toll Road consession fiasco. Recently had a stock split.

Get ready to see this one move!

I agree that it is a great company but first of all Carlos Slim is not the owner, he has a company called IDEAL which is the competition (which is also bidding for the work on the Panama Canal). Secondly I have not been able to read anything about them listing their housing unit (which is relatively small compared to the rest of the company). If it were true, this would be the worst moment as the housing stocks in Mexico (specially GEO and ARA) have been hammered in the past two weeks and lastly I see it improbable as they just did a secondary offering a few weeks ago. Finally their toll road concession are such a good business that the just won a bid to operate 4 roads in conjuntion with Goldman Sachs were they paid over 4 billion dollars.
