iShares Cohen & Steers Realty Maj. (ETF) (ICF)

At this time (Sept 2007) it is generally agreed that real estate is a horrible investment. The CAPS rating of one star on this ETF bears this out. However, while real estate is cyclical, it does trend up over the long run. Some of my most profitable investments have been to buy what is unloved and hold it long term. Real estate may be unloved at the moment, but it is not going away.
