Investment companies reflect the current economies better than anything else. When the economy is up, so are investments, and vice versa. Our economy isn't getting any better. We are totally independent.

Sure, but It is even affected by U.S. markets, not only from nervous investors selling the stock, but if the market were to dive, it affects commerce with other nations. Everything is somehow connected to the big U.S.
