An ETF (also in which I own shares) to track the explosive growth of South America's markets, particularly Brazil. Like China, Brazil & Argentina & Chile are experiencing tremendous growth. And those Brazilian people are so beautiful, how could you NOT want to invest in them? :-)

I wouldn't look at Argentina as a good bet, luckily this ETFs top 25 holdings are all Mexican, Brazilian and Chilean. Except for the random Tenaris SA from Luxembourg. These are all places with good GDP growth expectations in '08. Top holding of America Movil shows there is lots of value and growth to go.

I also own shares of this ETF. I am presently concerned about inflation in South America. So much of the growth is caused by increased commodity prices (which may be leveling out) that the long term growth is questionable. If the growth can be shared with the lower class, the long term growth can be sustained with the consumption of the newer middle class.

Hi manaolana,Yes, you echo my sentiments exactly regarding the devaluing US dollar and the commodity prices. Still, over the long haul, ILF has proved itself before and I believe it will again. I fully expect this stock to get even lower through Spring 2008, maybe into June or July 2008, but hopefully it will come back even stronger than it was this past summer. Good luck in your investing and send some of those sunny Hawaiian skies back over to the mainland -- we need some cheering up with this market!

Man, I bought a lot of ILF and EWZ after I got back from Brazil. Chile is also very interesting. CH and ECH are good ways to invest there. Nice commodities exposure (Nickel, Copper), and wine of course. Very healthy economy and also pretty people. And speaking of pretty people - I'm thinking about picking up some Swedish stocks too :-)V -
