I like ing but the performance against the S&P 500 is consistently low. A good return on investment if bought short.

What about now? At a 52 week low with a 4.5 P/E and 8.31 Yield div., it's looking pretty good to me, no?

Well the sentence you posted is exactly the reason to buy it. Good company underperforming and beaten down = a big fat bargain. Buy some at 9-10$, buy twice more if it goes 6$ then 4 times more when it reaches 4 $...Do not short something that was unfairly beaten down and is undervalued, it is suicide.
