Also they are still hovering fairly close to their 52-week low. These large companies have a tendency to rebound, especially when they are in a business as cyclical as semiconductors.

Core 2 duo is anything but sluggish and the returns on Intel will reflect this. Their innovation on this architecture will perform well in the short term. However in early mid-2007 look for AMD to gain ground back with their release of their quad-core.
