This company has been a thorn in my side since I picked it down. I copied this from their websitee:
"The best part of Florida. Imagine over 700,000 exceptional acres owned by one company – St. Joe."
700,000 acres, in a depressed real estate market...

I really appreciate TDRH's analysis, and want to encourage all of you who are short and wonder what is going on.

JOE will survive the real estate bust and continue as a long-term growth story. Its vast amount of Florida real estate should allow it a permanent place in diversified portfolios. JOE will prosper for as long as retirees care to live in warm climates...

Long-term play here. This stock has been beaten down by investors assuming it will be hurt by the downturn in the Florida housing market. They forgot that St. Joe owns most of the prime beachfront land in Florida and is selling to that portion of t...

St. Joe.. builder largely based in Florida. Appears to be a slam dunk for financial difficulties as the housing bust gets underway. Geographically un-diversified, and could be in real trouble come '07 or '08.

Hard asset play that should hold its value over time as the U.S. Dollar depreciates each year, especially vs. foreign currencies. Enormous land holdings in Florida, much of it is timber and treed areas. Baby-boomer retirement play as demographics w...

Joe is no longer a homebuilder. They announced earlier this year they would JV with other builders. They value in the company is land, 800,000 acres of land. And they own it at close to a 0 cost basis. At $10k an acre (very conservative), it's worth ...

This stock is so undervalued it's ridiculous. Its listed price to book is deceptively low, based on the laughably low prices it paid for its gigantic Florida real-estate portfolio. Plus, if global warming continues, its holdings in central Florida ...

St. Joe is an asset play extraordinaire. It owns some 835,000 acres of land in the Florida panhandle, and is in the process of developing many properties for sale. Hurricanes come and go but this company will stay and survive very well. It should b...
