Don't let the smooth taste fool you.The Bear deal is not as wonderful as it seems. Yes, they get a $1B building and some prime brokerage business for free. But Bear Stern was a huge underwriter of credit default swaps (CDS). JP Morgan now takes o...

JPM's gross profit for '06 was approx triple that of '04 yet the stock price hasn't budged in years. The market is rational over the long-haul but emotional over the short-term. Now's the time to get in.

This is a short term underperform pick, simply because more bad news with financials will tug it down. Now on the other hand, I do have JP Morgan on my list of excellent long-term picks. JPM is currently sporting a 4%dividend, which I definately li...

The problem with most banks is that they are run by bankers, not well-rounded businesspeople. Jamie Dimon is the latter, and he has the track record to prove it. Don't bet against him. Given the complexity and size of JPM, it would be silly to think ...

JPM's new management team continues to rightsize the business and realize the billions in unrealized expense synergies promised to sell the last several mergers. It is unlikely that Jamie Dimon will be "permitted" to dilute investors, yet again, to ...
