Good long term hold. I bought this tock at first because it is based in my home town. Solid performer with steady growth.Their model works....I really don't understand it, but it works!

I like the growth story here -- used cars will be in demand as the consumer feels more pinched. There is a need for a strong honest player in this industry AND its been beat down recenlty. Up-Up-and-AWAYYYYY

Lot of growth potential, few real competitors - and the competitors that do exist are at a disadvantage on price and service, two pretty important things! Positioned to dominate an inefficient and fragmented market.

some day dealers will be penalized for prejudicial pricing..charging different prices for the same items based on the buyers skills. hopefully the internet will wipe out all agents, middlemen and any retailers that operatate like tex earnhardt.

In both a good economy or a poor economy, used cars are needed. Carmax runs a good operation and reduces risk to buyers. Seems a good combination. I bought it a year ago and have been very pleased.

If the consumer is strapped then why not buy used rather than new and why not use the largest used car retailer to do it. Great earnings report last week and the stock seems poised to continue its march higher after its recent split. I see 10% gains ...

Carmax is opening new stores to grow the business. This growth will lead to growth in sales and earnings.
