Kroger's wage cost will continue to erode profits. Attempts to control costs will reduce employee'sability to provide adaquate customer service.Lack of service will produce falling sales. The cycle will feed upon itself. Walmart will win the grocery war.

Ex-employ at Fred Meyer when Kroger did not own Fred Meyer. Fred Meyer an other ex-FRED's stores will increase in growth. While the Kroger stores will get older. Thought employees will have to put out more for health, dental, eye, care cost more every year, yet get lesser compared to what they use to get in care, and expenses out of pocket more. (I'm a hostile ex-employee, but know so many others that are hostile against the company as well)
Due to the company Bear pitch towards employees look for customer service to fall. The policies at any store changes from store to store from corporate guide lines like any other retail company. Yet pushing customer service to a point of being legally liable an being sued is not a company to put money into. Do be grateful there's anyone working for the company. Wal-mart does maintain a strong point of no over time, yet Kroger is in over time hell..
Did read about Kroger actually Fred Meyer being fined by the FCC in selling analog T.V.s and not informing the customers or labeling the T.V.s as being analog. Only two stores fined by a small amount.
Though do think Fred Meyer main office pushed this so to sell out of the analog T.V.s at above cost so to not take a lost. I'm sure other retailer do the same but Fred Meyer was caught doing the practice..
