The Company is a designer, developer and marketer of a broad range of nationally branded consumer products used in the home.
I think the current financials look pretty screwy due to their latest acquisition, which severly increased inventories, made their financials harder to read from a historical basis (the newly acquired company makes all its money in Q4). However, once they get the new acquisition back onto the typical 11% organic growth that the company has experienced, and leaned up inventories, this one could start to get into investor's favors once again.
While I haven't put real money into this one yet, given how far in the red I am on this pick that I still think is good, I am tempted... especially after reading the following Smartmoney article, which further buttresses my initial view on the company:http://www.smartmoney.com/undertheradar/index.cfm?story=20071204&afl=yahoo
Finally bought some shares of this one. Not a lot invested due to the potential double dip in the economy; however, if the economy recovers better than expected, this stock should have a huge pop. Still only 2 thumbs up out of 3, as I don't like all the debt they have taken on.
