It's going to get worse before it gets better. Sure it has a low P/E, but that's attractive only if one assumes earnings will be flat or increasing. But I don't think this will be the case. The rising supply in housing, plus the rising rates, plus...

As with all home builders, you need to come to terms with whether you think they have dropped too far or we are just getting started. If you believe we still have room to fall, LEN is a weak position. It has operations in the worst bubble areas, in...

LEN is heading further down with the rest of the real estate market. We saw an amazing amount of over building and over speculation that is not over with mild 2 quarter dip. This have only begun to get worse. These housing stocks' PE rations won't...

Okay ... so I tried a swing short on some of the homies that had popped up a few weeks ago. Most of them worked out for minor gains and a few lost. Now, with the rate cuts, Fed. stimulus, gas going down and whatever else, ... changed my thinking that...

The CEO of KB home came out today and said that he did not see the housing market bottom until the end of 2008 and didn't see prices rising until well into 2009. This isn't good for KBH and this isn't good for any of the homebuilders.

Echoing my generally negative sentiment of all the builders as I think optimism for a quick rebound here is overdone. Look at NVR, TOL, KBH, etc. for prior home builder posts/sentiments.
