Based on Fools.com (SA) recommendation, I bought LL stock and also decided to buy hardwood from them. There were significant mis-milled boards. LL is NOT standing behind their products and Customer Service is pathetic, and to a greater extent insulting customers. There were no straight answers of any sort. Later (unfortunately), I found several complaints in the internet.

With that said, and with LL CS being this unreasonable, I doubt, LL will have any repeat customers. Majority of the installers hate their product lines. I am afraid that LL is misrepresenting their products. I had a wastage of about 30% of wood, due to lot of issues ( Gaps, Bent boards, tapered all sorts) on a Select Grade Premium line.

I lost a few thousand $$ in the installation. But, if they treat their customers like this, I am not holding their stocks.

My parents went to LL based on radio ads hoping for a decent product at a decent price and were in the process of installing their floors when they found significant portions of the boards warped. They returned the wood only after a lot of hassle from LL's customer service department and bought from someone else. From what they found out, this is not unusual, in fact LL buys seconds and product that other flooring companies can't sell routinely and advertises that their product is just as good as any full-price retailer. Lying to your customer base will get your name destroyed in the public pretty fast. I wouldn't buy this stock either.
