Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm going to go against the grain on this one. I thought it was a terrific idea when it first came out, and I even registered to be a dealer, but now, you don't see any more advertising, and with GPS, cell phones, BlueTooth, and "On-Star" being built into cars, I have a feeling it won't be long before someone else builds a better (and cheaper) mousetrap.
BrianMav is an idiot. He's all rambling on about Onstar like it's gonna save the world or something without even realizing that smart Americans don't buy domestic pieces of junk (ford, chevy, chrystler) which are the only vehicles that Onstar comes in. LoJack systems are a must have among the crotch rocket community and help with the recovery of stolen bikes urr-day! Now LoJack systems are being installed in cars to help reduce auto theft nation wide. They work directly with some auto theft task task forces around the country and it's only a matter of time until every vehicle is installed with this gps chip, kinda like your dog Sparky! When Sparky gets lost, use your iPhone to find him via chip, sounds like a good idea to me!
I love it when people get schooled after calling me an idiot. ;p I still stand by every word of my 2007 comments.
