My least favroite investing firm, morally and financially....although J.P. Morgan may have made a run for that position recently. They failed to manage everything properly last time they reported why should this be any different. Everyone has been revising downwards, which may allow them to suprise somehow. I'd like to see what the whisper number is on this one if it's lower than the consensus I'd say Merrill probably isn't going to have such a great report. If it's higher then hopefully they'll miss it. Unless they bough a powerball ticket and hit while we had our backs turned I just don't think this is the best time to be long on Merrill. Not to mention its trading at more than 20 times last years EPS. I think MER should be closer to 20/25 so there is plenty of room for a flogging on this one, not anywhere close to oversold, which will happen, thus my price target is 18.
