The picks don't get much riskier than this, so there's no question it's CAPS only. As others have pointed out, there's no evidence of reduced lung function or lung cancer from any Technoshpere trials thus far. And it's unlikely there will be before topline results are reported from pivotal studies in type I and type II diabetes later in 2008. What MannKind has is hope and a low price, which could lead to a sizable upward run with positive efficacy data. And there's no reason to think there will be any problem with Technosphere efficacy. The problems will come later, so plan a swift exit if there's a gap up. I doubt Lilly and Pfizer are giving up completely on inhaled insulin without good reason.
