A whole $10K in sales, eh? And debt already at 35% of equity? Hmmmm. Gonna be hard to make payroll. RoA=-46% and RoE=-108%? Wow. Do you guys have any good news? Oh yeah, I can SHORT you! Seriously, I really hope they can pull off better treatments for diabetes and cancer, but since there are so many more firms out there in the same field *AND* with better financials, I'm gonna have to go with one of those. Thumbs-down!

This is a stock upon which I chose a short position (thumbs-down) and gave it a solid one-year time frame to liquidate its assets. And it just about did! My one-year time frame is now up (from 7/2/07), I'm up over 77% on this pick (minus the 16% simultaneous decline in the S&P, of course), and things still look rather bleak for MNKD. What's that? Really? Woo, stop the presses! We're now up to $20K in sales! Congrats, fellahs! You've just about run your company into the ground. So many things are wrong here, I don't even know where to start. So, I'm not. Instead, I'm going to stop, take my winning 61% in CAPS points, and re-down on this baby.
