The stock market as I see it is effected quit a bit by emotion and consensus. The market now has many afraid. They want something stable. Hence; strong companies with dividends. It was passe a few years back, but is making a comeback. The yield on this company is almost 7%. The tobacco sector has been up 0.36% the last month. The downside is; Tobacco is no longer king. There are still court cases pending. Federal and State Gov't. issues, etc.I have just bought shares in MO and will watch. I expect short time returns, smokeless tobacco will help. Financials are strong and dividends good. sales are dropping though. But in the long run? Shaky..
