income from MO to the states is too juicy to sue this beast into bankruptcy. even the anti-tobacco folks don't want MO to weaken too badly as their own livelihoods depend on it. thank you for smoking!

Altria's legal concerns are easing. Once, the Appelas Court decertified the "lights" case. The Board will spin-off Kraft. The stock should appreciate after this case is decided. While you wait, you can collect a hefty 4.60 % yield.

Not as compelling of a buy as before the Kraft spin-off, but still a good stock to hold. The tobacco/cigarette business and large industry presence allows them to pass along price increases to retain margins and profitability. The litigation matter...
