At the very least, shouldn't we have the right to know whether the foods which we buy are genetically modified? According to Reuters, the European Union has required labeling to let consumers know if food contains GMOs since 1997. Yet, here in the USA major companies such as Monsanto continue to succeed in preventing labeling requirements.
