Investors overreacted to the recent quarter. MSFT is a longer-term value play for patient investors who seek a margin of safety. The launch of Vista and a new version of Office will turn this stock around.

Microsoft will continue to revolutionize personal and business computing with Windows Vista and follow on applications - competition from Google and others only add more creativity and drive to this industry.

Vista, New server products and a Visual Studio development strategy that is finally coming together will increase earnings from corporations while the consumer product side of the business X-box, Zune, seem to be viable long term entries....

MSFT will show weakess in that it has matured but even with gates retiring they will be venturing into whatever is the new technology. Since the cash cow (OS) will still be dominate over the next couple of years it should still give them room to vent...

How boring can you get? I used to own this stock thinking that oit would eventually start to move. I no longer subscribe to that theory. Where's the catalyst? Too big to grow and not enough passion to excite.

Microsoft is being run by a salesman. The impetous is to maximize profits. However, as the computer market matures, the companies who "innovate" will come to dominate. MSFT does not innovate.
