Hulk, Iron Man... What other $200m "franchises" will Marvel pull out of the closet next? Deathlok, Captain America, Wolverine, god I don't know Prince Namor the Global Warming Avenger?... Marvel has demonstrated their ability to unlock value from their IPR and adroitness at marketing and tying together their myriad storylines. They somehow managed to make Hulk AND Iron Man loveable, approachable, human, and most unlikely of all - contemporary. Not so easy for a big green giant and a hunk of flying iron. Bottom line: They know what they are doing. Heck, they even make money on their research & development arm (some call it publishing).MVL is a classic "content" play - think Disney, Pixar. Yes, I said Disney and Pixar and we all know how those stocks have rewarded their shareholders over the years.
