Well I may regret this one as it is a bit risky. They specialize in nano-materials, specifically they do a good business in nano-additives to paint. They had bad earnings due to housing market, but I think in the long run this is a good buying opportunity. I like the long term support here and I bought some today for my personal account at around $5.40. I would probably sell if it fills the gap up to $6.50 in the next 6 months (about %20 gain).

Ouch! Grabbed this a bit early. With the huge market sell off today it is nearing $5.00 which has lots of long term support. I will add to my personal position there.

okie dokie - doubled down today at 4.86. We will see, still sanguine for 1 year or more period. Of course we could see a bear market and it is dead money. Hi No.

big down market today (11/1). Put in bid for 30% more at $4.61, we will see if it hits.

Bought more at $3.51 on 12/13/07. Should have kept adding as it hit $3.05, but did not. Bouncing back to 3.50 area today. Santa Clause rally? Jan effect? Oversold? Regardless, I have long term belief in this company and its products and will probably keep adding to position. Can't call the bottom, but can slowly add.

Well, I bought more at $3.07 (1/9/08) in the belief that this is a real company with real future prospects that had been unduly beaten done. Today they announced record revenues and the stock is up 18%, so hopefully we are on a steady path up for a while. Will continue to hold.

Added more at $3.09 today. Will put in a hard sell order to take profits in this volatile market on that portion of my holdings.

My sell order for $3.97 hit today for the shares I picked up at $3.09. I am still holding others long term, but have to take some nice profits in a market like this. Will put in another order around $3.07 (lots of support at $3.05).

I decided on a buy order of $3.23 and was happy to see the chart briefly dip to $3.18 today. I wondered why I did not see the confirm pop up in my mail box so I checked my order - oops, it was $2.23. Dang, resubmitted order at $3.23.

There was bad news premarket so I cancelled the order hoping for a big drop. It never came for this stock, but I was able to get in at 3.21 so put immediate sell order for $3.47 hoping to make a quick buck in the volatile market. Still have a bunch I hope to hold long term into the next business and market cycle.

Ok, this is the first time a bizzar market screw up has helped me. I had a standing sell order in at $3.49 and it hit this morning. I saw the sell while looking at my standing orders for something else. I was very surprised as it closed at about $3.38 and the market proceeded to tank this AM. As I look at the daily chart on my TDameritrade account, there is 1 single tick at $3.49 at exactly 9:30, then it proceeds to plummet. How and why? Don't know, am just thankful. I was once screwed on a stock where I put a trailing stop in and the bastards immediately took the stock down to my price, had one trade and immediately took it way back up to the prevailing price. So maybe this is Karma. Will put another buy order in at some nice low price.

My standing order for shares at $3.20 hit today, so I will put in a sell at some price based on the charts, probably around $3.59. It was weird, it took about 40 minutes for the entire order to fill, 200-300 shares at a time.

The $3.20 lot I bought above sold today at $3.58. I will enter a new buy for $3.20 and keep playing this range. Earnings out today, so it was rising into them, but you never know. Maybe it will even dip to 3.20 tomorrow ;-) Got to keep taking profits in this market.

Whee. It hit $3.20 again today and my buy order went through. Will put in a sell around $3.58 again.

My standing order to buy at perceived support of $3.07 hit today (5/6/08). Happy owning at that price into the future, but if it takes a fast bounce I am willing to sell out at 20%.

(6/25/08) - Hard to keep track of all my lots, but sold one today, I think the one I got for $3.07 or $3.05. Big jump today, even bigger if you look at yesterday's lows, which I did not have the guts to buy. Chicken!.Still riding a bunch, mostly for trades, some long.

Well, got lucky on that trade, sold at $3.28 and it finished day at $3.05. Put in an order to buy it back at $2.94, a couple cents below yesterday's low. Be quick on this one.

6/26/08 - man, one crazy stock. My buy back order hit today at $2.94 and I have a sell at $3.18 for a quick trade in this volatile market. Who knows.

6/27/08 - bought another lot today on the second dip down to $2.56, put immediate sell at $2.83 which is lower than today's high but gives me a 10% profit. We shall see.

Ok, now you will think I am a big fat liar. I come back to my desk and check my TDAmeritrade real-time chart and the stock is at $2.44, BUT I see this big giant one-tick spike up around $2.8x and I think, that must be a bad print because the next print is back in the $2.4x range. So I check my execution and my shares sold at $2.83. 10% in a few minutes! Trust me, I would not believe you, but look at the daily minute by minute. Oh well, time to buy it back at $2.3x ;-)

man, NANX was crushed today (7/23/08) on earnings. Gee, they made less than last year in this economy, I am so surprised. I was not quick enough to grab at the lows of $1.75, then I was dumb and chased it. Had an order for $1.84 and it kept ticking up. I upped order and kept missing then got it at $1.90, after which it immediately fell to $1.84. I put in a sell for $2.11 and got it for a 10% profit on the day. Also my standing order for $2.12 hit ;-(, so I will hang on to that for a while. Still in this market, 10-20% in this little guy is possible in a week.

(8/29/08) bought a nice big lot in my IRA at $1.78 hoping it holds at previous low of $1.76. Have sell order in for 1.99

(9/24/08) Bought more at 1.43 and put a sell order in $1.76 for a little over 20% (if I get it). I do not believe this company is going under, just no one want to buy. I am I a sucker, gambler or value investor. Only time will tell. Not an unreasonable portion of my portfolio, but I am looking not so smart here.

But now apparently someone wants to buy! There's been changes in management, maybe that's done some good.

Yes, they got super happy over last few days. I still have a ton as you can see from my notes. I will have to evaluate and see if I want to take off the sell orders I have and take a chance. I did not mind getting some cash in this type of market. Able to buy other incredible "bargins" at the end of the day today during the blood letting.

So the lot I bought at 0.77 a while back sold today. I had a standing order to sell at 0.98 and was quite surprised to see the confirm pop up in my e-mail in such a bad market - in fact I had to logon to my account to make sure it was correct. I pulled up a daily chart and all the trades to that point had be teenie-tiny. But then someone bought 10,000 share, apparently at market, so the market makes had to collect all the sell order shares the could, driving up the price 5% for that one trade. Odd, but I have noticed in very thinly traded stocks like this, you can play with a few thousand shares and bid or ask a crazy price and every now and then it will hit when someone want a big lot. Got luck, may setup to buy again at .80 this time.

Had another one of those crazy sells. Had order in for $1.08 to give me a nice profit on a trade lot and someone came in and wanted 30K shares so bought up all outstanding orders all the way up to $1.18. I put in another sell for $1.17 and it also just went through. I could get really burned because they release earnings soon, so maybe someone knows something, but I still have a good deal of shares left if that happens.

My $1.18 sell hit today, will put a buy back in for below $1 and see how it goes. This is just playing with fire. Whatever.

Some (relatively) large volume up days these past few trading days. Something is up. Adding more with this volume. ($1.50 to $2.00 range adds)
