I hate rating stocks with low volume. It seems to wreak havok on the CAPS system. I waited about an hour after this thing spiked 20% to thumbs down it, and I get a 2.76 start price? What the hell :(

In a real brokerage account, limit prices are crucial of thinly traded securities. Once in a while someone submits a market order that gets filled at some ridiculous price. I think that's what happened to you. It would be nice if CAPS had something similar to limit orders. Maybe a "target price" for a pick?
