I spent the longest time expecting a follower to take the blueprint, improve on it, and trump Netflix, but it isnt happening (save Blockbuster's attempt, but they are a different model).

That's because its a dead model. Just give technology a couple of years to manufacture, market and distribute. Immediate delivery via down load with no hassle, no mail, no lost charges and no waiting/delays.
