Netflix is a great model and is pretty much taking over as the standard method of getting DVDs into homes. I commonly hear people in conversation rating new releases as "theater" or "Netflix" -- a nod to the increasing popularity of watching at home, as well as the "Jello-ization" of the brand.I don't think they'll have a problem rolling into a direct-download model when the time comes. In the meantime, they may even save the US Postal Service from extinction... most of the mail I see being dropped into the box these days is in the form of little red envelopes.Current slump looks like an opportunity to me.
