I have been reading the Motley Fools comments and recommendations. Then I joined Netflix as a customer! WoW I love it. Getting mail is fun again. I have 300+ movies picked out, they come in their own mailback package (the neat kind) just pull the strip and fold. Netflix pays postage both ways. I did the 3 at a times all you can watch(as soon as you send one back you get another) around $17 dollars. Now I went to having 5 going back and forth. Watch, stick in the mailbox on the way to work and pick a new one out ASAP. I saw a Blockbuster ad that said you could get it in the mail and drop at any Blockbuster site. Are they crazy! Go to a store and have to deal with a clerk! I love my now clerk mailbox, no over time fees(my last time was when I rented 6 movies-never got to see them and got a late penalty on all 6.) I said "The end" and joined Netflix that night. No hassle-just fun.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. I was sceptical at first, but once I started I got hooked, moved to 4 movies out at a time, and that does not seem like enough now. Of couse since we are in school (kids) we do not watch as much as we did over the summer and the movies can sit for a week or more before they get watched. I love it though, no hassels. A little difficult with the wife at times though as she wants something now and of course we do not have it and have to wait a bit for the queue to catch up. Women! LOL. That is about the only drawback I see. New DVD out and unless I adjust my queue we have to wait. No big deal to me, stick it in the mail box, it goes out and more come in. What? I did not like one, who cares I have another one on the way in just a day or two. LOVE IT. And you hit on something, it is addictive. Easy to talk yourself into a higher movie count, which has to be good for the bottom line.
Now if we could just get this stuff delivered on demand through the tivo!!!
