The streaming service sounds great, but the do not have content that is desirable. Before signing up, I had a list of old movies I wanted to see. Out of 12 I had written down, zero were available on streaming. I ran out of interesting options in about 2 months. Netflix streaming is not like the DVD rental market, where all the new movies come out several months later. They never appear at all. The content providers Netflix needs are not going to undermine their pay-per-view partners, so actual content will never be available. The only chance Netflix has is to vacate their business model and move to pay per view at a lower rate than cable/satellite providers. The Netflix hype that was having some influence on content providers is gone. this company is a mail order DVD rental store competing against Coinstar's Redbox. no thanks, I think there are better opportunities.

Your comment is both wrong and logically inconsistent. You claim that you looked for 12 "old movies," and they were not available for streaming. You then jump to the conclusion that "new movies... never appear at all (on streaming."

This is completely wrong. I watch the vast majority of new movies via streaming. A small number only come on DVD, but most blockbusters, in fact, almost every big and small run movie that has come out recently is available on streaming.

It is older movies that are hard to find via streaming, and to which you have to resort to DVDs. This is particularly true for movies that have not been re-released in recent years. Good luck trying to find such movies at your local Blockbuster; you won't, because of their far limited stock. And you sure as heck won't find them in a RedBox.
