The transition from mail delivery to downloads will not go well for netflix. There will not be a strong incentive for studios to make deals with them, and they will basically be required to recreate their business.

Netflix is already profitable and I think the groundwork has been laid for more profits ahead. The only real competitor left is downloaded video. Netflix may be able to do that too by the time it really becomes feasible.

over the next couple of years the online rental market has no where to go but up. Until there is a viable video download service (which there is not....yet), Netflix will benefit from there supreme rental service.
