Definately a Long-Term pick for me. Great recommendation by Patrick6K, well worth the read. Only things I can add are that I've seen Nike collectively take-out the number one companies in golf and soccer where Nike was barely a presence. Now, Nike has strong positions in each of those sports, as well as maintaining their share in the others. Only real competition I see is UA (UnderArmour). If Nike can somehow pry the World Cup away from Adidas, then that will be huge (let me remind you that soccer is the world's sport).

On the financial side, Nike has relatively little debt for such a large cap company.
